Job Title: Automotive Shop Foreman - Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Company Overview: Albemarle Ford is a leading automotive dealership seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our service department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, optimizing shop productivity, and driving business growth.

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and train a team of technicians. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing the management and daily operations of the service department
  • Ensuring all service level targets are met or exceeded
  • Mentoring staff, including recruiting/hiring/training, overseeing HR/payroll, and managing issues of discipline/termination
  • Managing budget and finances
  • Ensuring required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards
  • Complying with and enforcing all safety policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Three years of progressive and relevant experience in the automotive industry
  • Certification or designation in the field of automotive repair (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in supervising and managing staff
  • An unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and manage time to meet changing deadlines
