Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Senior Electrical Engineers to develop new designs and solutions. This role requires daily presence in our Rolling Meadows office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble prototype circuit boards and wire assemblies
  • Collaborate with Senior Electrical Engineers to test and evaluate prototypes and samples
  • Provide technical support to individuals within and outside the technology department
  • Perform testing of engineering samples and prototypes, and prepare reports for internal and customer presentations
  • Perform basic lab duties and maintenance
  • Utilize project management tools to organize and document work
Technical Requirements
  • Ability to hand assemble wire harnesses and use engineering drawings to verify functionality and compatibility
  • Ability to use a digital multimeter for basic functionality checks and testing
  • Ability to use soldering tools for circuit board assembly and place small components using tweezers and magnifying equipment
  • Familiarity with Altium PCB design software
  • Ability to understand circuit designs, schematics, circuit calculations, and component specifications
General Skills and Experience
  • Familiarity with 2D CAD for illustrating wiring diagrams and cable assemblies
  • Experience with general testing/measurement techniques for electronics and photometric performance
  • Competence in technical reports and specification writing with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently in problem-solving and analysis
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
