Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at CompassionCare Hospice. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to improve their communication skills.

  • Administer speech therapy programs using evidence-based techniques and technologies to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). You will also need to have at least one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology and a strong understanding of hospice care principles.
