National Forest Foundation (NFF) is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a Program Coordinator to oversee initiatives that foster collaboration between NFF and the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests along with the Pawnee National Grassland (ARP). This role involves engaging with communities throughout Northern Colorado and leading projects in partnership with ARP.
About NFF: The National Forest Foundation is dedicated to inspiring individuals to cherish and safeguard our remarkable natural environment. We collaborate with numerous partners to implement natural solutions that enhance the health of our ecosystems and communities.
Role Responsibilities: The Northern Colorado Program Coordinator will report to NFF's Rocky Mountain Region Program Manager and collaborate closely with other field staff based in Colorado. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating partnerships with organizations to enhance resource planning and community involvement in areas such as post-fire recovery, reforestation, and recreational development.
- Managing financial processes and funding strategies related to ARP-NFF collaborative programs.
- Working with ARP personnel to enhance the Forest's recreational offerings and supporting local recreation initiatives.
- Utilizing NFF's resources to aid in the maintenance and repair of ARP facilities.
- Assisting in collaborative planning efforts based on community and ARP needs, which may involve facilitation and financial oversight.
- Leading the procurement and management of contracts for services necessary for project implementation.
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and various stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
- Collaborating with the U.S. Forest Service to develop and manage large-scale agreements related to project execution.
- Overseeing budgets and reporting for grants from various governmental and philanthropic sources.
- Expanding the network of supporters and partners by seeking funding opportunities and writing grant proposals.
- Building and nurturing relationships among federal and state agencies, local governments, and nonprofit organizations to foster effective conservation partnerships.
- Enhancing NFF's capacity to support forest and watershed health initiatives through collaboration and partnership development.
- Staying informed about trends and innovations in conservation programming to improve NFF's strategic effectiveness.
Location: This position is based in Northern Colorado, with the possibility of working from various communities in the region. Regular travel throughout Northern Colorado is required.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in conservation, business, environmental science, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in conservation program management or project coordination.

- Strong writing and public speaking skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
