Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Apprentice to join our team at Freedom Forever. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work under the direction of an Electrician to perform installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with safely planning and completing Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) to ensure compliance with current NEC and local codes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues, utilizing your knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ensure work performed is of high quality and meets the standards of Freedom Forever.
  • Determine when additional material is required to complete a job, and document project progress by taking photos and completing work orders.
  • Maintain Company vehicles stocked with proper tools and equipment, and adhere to Company policies, environmental health and safety policies, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment, and provide recommendations to higher-level technical staff and management.
  • Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ, and Utility requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure job sites are left clean and tidy, and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualification Requirements
  • Must possess or obtain an Apprentice License within the state of employment if applicable.
  • Minimum 2 years of electrical installation and repair experience preferred.
  • High School Graduate or GED.
Experience
  • Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines.
  • Must be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret single-line drawings.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and valid state driver's license.
Special Skills & Training
  • Working knowledge of current NEC codes.

Travel Requirements

As an employee of Freedom Forever, you may be required to travel for business purposes. If required to travel, you must have a valid Driver's License/Insurance and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
