Electrical Installer Job Description

Freedom Forever is seeking a skilled Electrical Installer to join our team. As an Electrical Installer, you will be responsible for safely planning and performing electrical work for residential solar projects. You will work closely with our crew to ensure the successful completion of solar arrays/systems installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate job status data to the Crew Lead to ensure successful completion of solar arrays/systems installations
  • Follow safe working practices for the Freedom Forever installation team
  • Responsible for safe and correct installation of PV systems and electrical work
  • Assemble all components of a residential solar system
  • Ensure work is performed in a neat and workmanlike manner and compliant with all State and local codes and standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues
  • Follow OSHA, NEC, AHJ, and Utility requirements
  • Work with crew to complete all portions of Photovoltaic systems installs (PV) including passing panels, conduit pipe, attic conduit runs, passing PV panels to the roof, and roof pipe when required
  • Provide top-notch customer service throughout the installation
  • Upload photos and update job status in the Company database when work is complete
  • Strong knowledge and experience of conduit bending (EMT) ability to produce quality day after day
  • Document work by taking pictures and completing work orders
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Electrician license required
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business. Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check and have a valid state driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of current NEC codes
  • Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines
  • Must be experienced with all required hand and power tools associated with the electrical trade
  • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret single- and three-line drawings
  • Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
  • Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
Special Skills & Training:
  • Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
