Job Title: AVP & Actuary, Life Assumption Governance

The AVP & Actuary, Life Assumption Governance will provide strategic oversight and guidance on actuarial assumptions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and reliable assumptions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement actuarial assumption governance processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with actuarial teams to review and challenge proposed assumptions
  • Provide guidance on actuarial assumption development and implementation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Develop and maintain actuarial assumption inventory
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify and address actuarial assumption gaps
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of actuarial experience, with demonstrated competency in actuarial assumption governance
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation or Associate (ASA) with additional years of actuarial experience
  • Experience with individual life insurance products and actuarial assumption review and development
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, with ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
