Job Summary

GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adult Education Professional to join our team. As an Adult Education Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to adult learners, developing and implementing effective lesson plans, and evaluating student progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive instruction to adult learners, promoting academic and personal growth.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans, aligned with state and national standards, to meet the diverse needs of adult learners.
  • Evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional strategies, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Stay current with best practices in adult education, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting respect and empathy among students, staff, and community members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education or a related field.
  • Two to three years' experience in teaching or adult education, with a proven track record of success in promoting student learning and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including learning management systems and educational software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in education or a related field.
  • Five years' experience in teaching or adult education, with a proven track record of success in promoting student learning and achievement.
  • Experience in project management and networking with community partners.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and other educational software.

Salary/Benefits

Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.
