Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute research projects to improve coatings and materials properties, with a focus on rheology and dynamic mechanical analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new product development projects.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to validate research findings and develop new technologies.
  • Document procedures, processes, and outcomes in detail for technology transfer package generation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure access to necessary equipment and materials.
  • Apply statistical analysis and DOE principles to ensure high-quality data and results.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in coatings or materials research, testing, and development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of rheology, dynamic mechanical analysis, and coatings properties.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and respond to emerging business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with viscoelastic theory and application.
  • Knowledge of property testing and linking results to consumer impact.
  • Understanding of test method design and statistical correlation studies.
