We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our busy ENT practice. As an Audiologist, you will provide audiological assessments for patients of all ages, conducting a range of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment.
Responsibilities- Administer and interpret various tests, including air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests.
- Conduct impedance testing, auditory brainstem response testing, and DPOAE and acoustic reflex threshold tests.
- Provide treatment for BPPV via canalith repositioning maneuvers.
- Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information to determine communication problems related to hearing disability.
- Effectively involve and educate patients and caregivers in the plan of care.
- Refer patients to physicians or surgeons if medical treatment is necessary.
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner with respect to personal safety of self and others.
- Doctoral degree or Master's degree in Audiology.
- Professional audiology license issued by the State of Illinois.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA.
- National provider identifier (NPI).
This position is performed within an environment of occasional exposure to irritating, unpleasant, or hazardous elements or conditions.
Mental DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work under pressure with multiple interruptions. Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.
