Peterson Consulting Inc is in search of a Heavy Machinery Maintenance Supervisor who will oversee the mechanics and upkeep of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding operations.

The machinery involved includes excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, semis, and off-road haul trucks, in addition to pickups, pumps, and generators. While most minor repairs are conducted in the field, the more extensive work is performed in the workshop.

This role entails operating and maintaining a company-provided medium-duty mechanic truck or a 2-ton pickup with a service bed, along with other assigned responsibilities.


Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in equipment repair, servicing, and maintenance.

Experience in shop management is advantageous.

Possession of personal tools, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record is required.

Formal training in diesel mechanics covering maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems is essential.

A Class A driver's license and certified welding experience are preferred.


Familiarity with excavators, loaders, backhoes, blades, scrapers, dump trucks, semis, and off-road vehicles, as well as pickups, pumps, and generators is necessary.

Experience in maintaining a mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment.

Ability to monitor and perform routine scheduled maintenance.

Collaboration with all departments to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety is expected.

Strong time management skills are highly valued.

This is a salaried position.

Physical requirements include walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting over 40 lbs.

$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually
