Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Designer III to support the customer's computer data communications systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network solutions to meet organizational objectives
  • Develop and implement procedures to track and report network availability, reliability, capacity, or utilization
  • Estimate time and materials needed to complete projects
  • Monitor network performance and data input/output reports to detect problems, identify inefficient use of computer resources, or perform capacity planning
  • Participate in network technology upgrade or expansion projects
  • Research and test new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability
  • Liaison with vendors to address system issues, gather information about products, and discuss future needs
  • Coordinate the installation of new equipment
  • Design, organize, and deliver product awareness, skills transfer, and product education sessions for staff and suppliers
Requirements:
  • 16 years of experience in a combination of work history and education
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
