Responsibilities- Conduct program portfolio reviews to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs and processes, manage and sustain program technical baselines, and design and perform system-level tests to ensure subsystems and system performance meet approved specifications.
- Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to ensure subsystem and system performance meets program specifications.
- Prepare technical documents defining, specifying, and recommending system/subsystem characteristics, and prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using engineering economy principles.
- Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures, and analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems.
- Provide system/program engineering, technical support, and technical training to support programs/initiatives, including acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding, and operations oversight.
- Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with Air Force SEAM processes.
- Capable of performing problem/gap definition, trade space analysis, science and technology roadmap analysis, "Set based design" for concept development, Multi-Objective Decision Analysis (MODA), and cost versus capability trade-off analysis.
- Capable of implementing Digital Engineering, Digital Thread, and Digital Twin techniques across system lifecycle.
- Apply engineering expertise to systems and subsystems, including configuration management, data management, security, and other technical integration functions.
- Manage complex system interfaces, identify and document interfaces, and ensure the effective integration of multiple subsystems.
- Ensure system requirements meet user requirements, utilize user requirements to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate system concepts, perform assessments, and review the system design.
- Perform and/or support capability analyses and COTS/GOTS evaluation, select components, and develop system interfaces to ensure compliance with DoD and commercially accepted standards and requirements.
- Construct models and simulations of systems to demonstrate the ability to meet user requirements.
- Conduct engineering performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, technical, and schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies, and document this information in a technical report as directed by the task order.
- Provide aid or guidance as necessary in the accomplishment of other engineering tasks.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical engineering
