Job Summary:

The Biomedical Engineer/Instrumentation is responsible for planning, training, and installing, maintaining, and repairing sophisticated medical equipment and systems used in patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and corrective repairs of biomedical equipment and medical systems under the supervision of a manager or designee.
  • Conduct pre-issue and asset accounting, equipment installation, and de-installation of related equipment as needed.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and electrical safety tests of biomedical equipment to maintain code compliance.
  • Document the results of all inspections, maintenance, and tests.
  • Collaborate with biomedical engineers, specialties, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Complete applicable documentation of all work performed in a timely manner.
  • Travel frequently to provide service support and attend technical training.
Requirements:
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in formal and/or on-the-job training.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Good driving record and willingness to work extended hours.
  • Proficiency in operating PCs with Windows operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in electronics, physics, or related science degree.
