Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our American Canyon facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety.

Responsibilities
  • Proficiently start up and change over Line 1 and Line 2 equipment
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Repair and maintain line equipment, including 7 major assets, and train new mechanics on these assets
  • Adhere to all PPE, GMP, FPQ, and HACCP requirements to achieve food safety standards
  • Record and document all necessary data for maintenance programs
  • Complete required Alchemy trainings, including Personal Safety and Food Safety Training
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable mechanical/electrical experience or coursework
  • Good knowledge of hand and power tool usage
  • Understanding of safety rules, particularly LO/TO procedures
  • Ability to follow direction from department Lead, Supervisor, or Manager
  • Initiative to improve set-up times and maintenance tasks
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Safety and environmental awareness
Work Environment

The work environment is a food manufacturer, with a wide range of ambient temperatures and humidity. You may be exposed to strong odors and fumes from hot peppers and other flavorful products processed within the facility. The position requires lengthy periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and possible working elevated platforms.
