Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at SUITEMATE STAFFING SOLUTIONS INC. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow established cleaning and maintenance procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Maintain a cleaning schedule that includes cleaning of floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
  • Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed.
  • Move furniture or equipment within building as directed by principal.
  • May assist in setting up facilities for special events.
  • May assist with opening and closing building each school day.
  • Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
  • Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency and report any issues to supervisor.
  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Completion of sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow directions.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of minor repair techniques.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and move heavy objects.
  • Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.
