Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN to fill the role of Ambulatory Surgical Center Nursing Manager. This position is responsible for the administration and supervision of personnel in assigned areas, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Management: Oversees the delivery of services in assigned areas, working closely with the healthcare team to manage patient care and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Staff Management: Provides regular performance feedback, conducts performance appraisals, and directs the work of staff, including supervision, hiring, and terminations.
- Policies and Procedures: Develops and implements clinical policies and procedures, trains staff, and communicates compliance with policy and procedures.
- Strategic Planning: Assists in budget preparation, resolves variances, and meets regularly with leadership to discuss strategic plans.
Requirements:
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current RN License in State of Washington
- Current AHA-BLS and ACLS certification
- 2+ years of nursing experience in specific assigned area (OR, Endoscopy/GI Lab or POH PACU)
- 2+ years of leadership experience (lead, supervisor and above) in a clinical setting or demonstrated equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operating Room (OR): Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Endo/GI Lab: CGRN (Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse) certification
- POC/POH/PACU: ASPAN Certification
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of ADA, Fitness for Duty, FMLA policy, HIV counseling procedures & blood borne pathogen protocols, WISHA/OSHA mandated regulations, Personal protective equipment, Hazards materials, and Infection control procedures.
- Skills in effective communication, charting, and written communication.
- Abilities in critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability.
Physical And Mental Demands:
- Must be able to frequently stand and walk from place to place for long periods of time with intermittent breaks.
- Must be able to run during an emergency.
- Must be able to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp or feel objects, tools, controls and medical or office equipment.
Typical Working Conditions:
- Can involve dealing with sick patients.
- With frequent exposure to communicable/infectious diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
