Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Consultant to join our dynamic team at Western Digital. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and performance of our SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Execute installations, apply patches, and perform upgrades to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on technical support for operational issues across various platforms including ECC, BW, BPC, Portal, GRC, GTS, SCM/eWM, CRM, and HR.
  • Configuration and Troubleshooting: Conduct configuration, analysis, and troubleshooting for both ABAP and Java stacks.
  • SAP S4 HANA Experience: Experience with SAP S4 HANA implementation and migration is advantageous.
  • Job Scheduling: Manage and monitor scheduled SAP batch jobs to enhance system resource utilization using REDWOOD scheduler.
  • Audit Support: Assist with Sox Audits for critical financial systems by providing necessary system and user data.
  • Transport Management: Oversee multiple landscape transports, month-end and quarter-end processes, refreshes, and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to address urgent system needs.
  • Performance Tuning: Implement performance tuning strategies for Oracle, HANA, and SAP systems.
  • Technical Delivery: Ensure technical delivery in areas such as SAP Basis, Solution Manager, Portal, REDWOOD, PI, SLT, Adobe, Opentext, and Trex.
