About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inpatient behavioral health services across our system.

Responsibilities will include providing expertise around the behavioral and medical needs of behavioral health patients, identifying and communicating placement barriers, and assessing the most appropriate treatment setting based on inpatient competencies and resources. You will also work closely with clinical leaders systemwide to support the complex disposition planning for patients in behavioral health units, using knowledge of post-acute medical competencies and complex patient resource needs to proactively identify patients at risk of prolonged admission.

In addition, you will develop and implement new tools and processes to improve access and throughput, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to foster effective change management and collaboration across the system.

Requirements include a graduate degree in nursing, 10+ years of inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience, and 5 years of nurse leader experience. Strong time management and organizational skills, as well as experience with data analytics and project management, are also essential.
