Position Overview:
We are looking for an Animal Care Technician to join our expanding team and deliver outstanding care to our patients. You will collaborate with other experienced Animal Care Technicians, assisting our Credentialed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians in the daily operations of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
Assist Veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepare patients for surgical procedures, assist in surgeries, and proactively prepare for any diagnostic tests or procedures.
Safely and compassionately restrain animals.
Accurately record vital signs, gather medical histories, and report any changes in a patient's condition to the Veterinarian.
Collect and prepare laboratory samples, including fecal, urine, and ear cytologies.
Maintain and care for all medical equipment, including laboratory devices, surgical instruments, anesthesia machines, and other essential tools for daily operations.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient updates and inquiries.
Position Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays.
Understanding of medical procedures and animal handling techniques.
Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage stressful situations while working collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
