Job Overview

As a Snowmaker Lead at Vail Resorts, you will play a critical role in creating an unforgettable experience for our guests. You will be responsible for leading a team of snowmakers in the production of manufactured snow, ensuring that our slopes are always in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of snowmakers in the production of manufactured snow
  • Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment, including pumps, compressors, and snowmaking guns
  • Mentor and guide snowmaker teammates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that snowmaking operations meet our high standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that snowmaking operations are integrated with other mountain operations

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
