Job Overview

Vail Resorts is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowmaker Lead to join our team at one of our resorts. As a Snowmaker Lead, you will be responsible for the manufacture of snow, ensuring that our slopes are perfectly groomed for our guests. This is a full-time position that requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of snowmakers to ensure that snowmaking operations are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment, including pumps, compressors, and snowmaking guns.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that snow meets our high standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that snowmaking operations are integrated with other resort operations.
  • Develop and implement snowmaking plans to ensure that our slopes are perfectly groomed for our guests.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in snowmaking operations.
  • Strong knowledge of snowmaking equipment and operations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
