Job Summary

This is a 12-week internship opportunity in the Interconnection & Transmission team at Scout Clean Energy to support the expansion of our renewable energy development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze interconnection queues to identify trends and opportunities for existing and future projects.
  • Review and assess ISO generation interconnection changes and proposals to evaluate their impact on company projects.
  • Support project managers in meeting project readiness milestones and requirements.
  • Contribute to process automation, process improvements, and documentation.
  • Support team members on department duties such as generation interconnection applications, generator modeling, and interconnection studies.
Requirements
  • Enrollment in a college degree program in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of power systems principles, including load flow and transfer capabilities analyses.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to power system simulation software.
  • Knowledge of data analytics.
  • Experience with generation interconnection, transmission operations, or transmission planning is preferred.
  • Interest in and passion for renewable energy.
  • Creative and resourceful approach to solving problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and with appropriate documentation and messaging.
  • Detail-oriented self-motivator with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
