Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to guests and colleagues by being attentive, friendly, and courteous at all times.
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently and effectively, adhering to established standards.
- Load and unload washes according to established procedures, ensuring accurate sorting and processing of linens.
- Wash, dry, and fold all dirty linens, towels, and rags, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
- Sort and categorize hotel linens according to type, color, and size, ensuring efficient processing and storage.
- Pre-treat stained linens before washing, utilizing knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques.
- Clean and maintain laundry equipment, including dryers and irons, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing linens off the floor to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Fold and organize towels and linens, ensuring they are presented in a neat and attractive manner.
- Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts, maintaining a clean and efficient workflow.
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris, adhering to established standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Highgate Hotel standards.
- Sort and load clean laundry according to type and category, ensuring efficient processing and storage.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift, maintaining a high level of energy and productivity.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, adhering to established scheduling requirements.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
