Job Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at Hancock County Health System, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Your expertise in performing moderate and high complexity testing will be essential in obtaining accurate data for healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and coagulation testing to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative procedures, maintaining detailed records of all tests performed and reporting to authorized personnel.
• Work independently, performing phlebotomy on ER, inpatients, and outpatients, and be willing to work on-call and weekends.

Requirements:

• MT, MLT, MLA, or CLA certification.
• Good vision and verbal skills.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and cope with a variety of situations.
• Experience preferred.

Work Schedule:

Weekend package available - $1300 for working the entire shift, on-call starts Friday at 5:00pm to Monday at 5:30am. Additional hours available as needed. Must work at least one weekend per quarter.
