Staff Pharmacist Role

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you'll play a critical role in supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Safety: Ensuring the well-being of our patients through adherence to regulatory requirements and quality assurance protocols.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Staying up-to-date with changing regulations and ensuring compliance in your pharmacy.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing processes to ensure the highest quality of care and services.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to our customers and patients.
  • Personnel Management: Motivating and developing your team to achieve their full potential.
  • Inventory Management: Ensuring efficient inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Financial Profitability: Contributing to the financial success of your pharmacy through effective management of resources.
  • Loss Prevention: Identifying and mitigating potential risks to minimize losses.
  • Workflow Management: Optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.

You'll also be responsible for:

  • Leading with Heart: Displaying empathy and compassion for our patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Motivating and Developing Your Team: Balancing assignments to maximize colleagues' strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps.

  • Implementing Solutions: Leading your team to achieve specified goals and objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
  • Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
