Job Summary

CVS Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety and Quality Assurance: Ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications, and maintain accurate records of patient interactions and medication management.
  • Pharmacy Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, staff supervision, and customer service.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to controlled substances and patient confidentiality.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree, and active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
  • Experience and Skills: Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy operations, with a strong background in patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications and Training: Immunization certification through an accredited organization, and completion of relevant training programs in pharmacy operations and management.
