About the Role
Amazon is on the lookout for a Senior Product Manager to join our Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) team, which is focused on pioneering and implementing technological solutions for our strategic initiatives.
We have ambitious objectives for our heavy and bulky goods sector, and we seek a Senior Product Manager who is passionate about the foundational phases of a business and the significant influence they can exert on customer satisfaction.
Team Overview
This position is integral to the Worldwide AMXL Strategy/Product organization, aimed at enhancing and broadening the delivery of large items that necessitate special handling and additional services to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate business strategies and initiatives that drive profitability and support revenue growth.
- Develop strategy proposals, product PRFAQs, and other documentation to guide the creation of effective features and products.
- Lead and manage the strategy for the global AMXL supply chain, collaborating closely with Technology and Operations teams.
- Define comprehensive business and product strategies.
- Oversee prioritization and trade-offs regarding market speed, performance, and feature sets.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making within the team.
- Tackle challenges through innovative problem-solving and stakeholder coordination.
- Collaborate with various Supply Chain and Business teams to identify and advocate for the development of new products and services.
Product Roadmap Management
- Construct and maintain high-quality product roadmaps aligned with your vision and strategy.
- Secure stakeholder buy-in for your strategy and roadmap through compelling narratives and influence among peers and senior leadership.
- Communicate performance metrics, conduct root-cause analyses, and connect findings to specific areas for improvement.
- This role may require up to 10% travel.
A Day in the Life
Challenges include determining how to expand the FBA business, identifying essential features to attract new sellers to Amazon, and understanding customer pain points to propose both medium- and long-term solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology.
- A decade of experience blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives related to process creation, standardization, and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience in owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience with end-to-end product delivery.
- Familiarity with feature delivery and product trade-offs.
- Background as a product manager or owner.

- Experience in managing technology products.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a comprehensive compensation package, alongside a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
