About the Role

The Woman's Hospital of Texas is seeking a skilled Child Life Specialist PRN to join our team. As a Child Life Specialist PRN, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting Child Life Programs for inpatient infants, children, and their families. Your goal will be to support the developmental progression of the individual infant, child, and family during hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Child Life Programs to meet the unique needs of each patient and family.
  • Collaborate with other care providers to ensure continuity of patient care and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Complete assessments and documentation accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life/Child Development with completion of internship in a Child Life Program.
  • Child Life Specialist Certification or meet all certification eligibility requirements and pass the certification exam within six months of hire.
  • Two years of pediatric experience, with NICU experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
