Human Resources-Payroll Specialist

Plasman is a leading global automotive and manufacturing company with a rich history dating back over 40 years. We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources-Payroll Administrator to join our team.
This role is responsible for assisting and supporting the HR Manager in all facets of human resources, primarily focused on processing and completing payroll and benefits administration and reporting. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in human resources or PHR/SHRM-CP, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a human resource role, with a broad understanding of all HR facets, preference given to those with a minimum 2-years payroll related experience, preferably within ADP.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing, updating and providing recommendations for policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits
- Advising employee and management personnel on the interpretation of payroll and benefits policies, programs and procedures
- Resolving any employee issues related to payroll and benefits
- Managing employee absenteeism and attendance program, issue corrective disciplinary action as required, report on statistics
- Conducting new employee orientation and ensuring paperwork is processed and benefits are managed properly
- Supporting all aspects of Health and Safety, working in conjunction with the Health and Safety Coordinator
- Contributing to efforts in maintaining a union free workplace by participating in team member committee meetings as necessary
