Career Overview:

The HR Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing key HR functions, including hiring, compliance, and the onboarding of new employees. This role requires a strong understanding of HR processes and a commitment to maintaining efficient, compliant, and impactful systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork.
  2. Provide exceptional onboarding experiences through effective communication, system introductions, and HR orientation.
  3. Continuously improve the onboarding process to meet company needs and enhance the new hire experience.
  4. Maintain and audit HRIS systems to ensure employee data is accurate.
  5. Track and compile key HR metrics, providing insightful reports and recommendations.
  6. Conduct new hire orientations, covering benefits, policies, and essential information.
  7. Follow up with new hires to address questions and ensure a smooth transition.
  8. Develop and distribute employee communications, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  9. Participate in planning and executing employee activities to foster engagement and connection.
  10. Maintain compliance with HR-related reporting requirements.
  11. Manage unemployment insurance claims and ensure accurate and timely responses.
  12. Support workforce development through policy administration, training, and coaching.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in HR or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and MS Office.
  • Detail-oriented and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if necessary.
