Job Summary

The Preconstruction Manager, Aviation is responsible for leading the estimating process, ensuring smooth and efficient execution, and exceeding client expectations throughout the project duration. This role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with a focus on understanding client, designer, and subcontractor needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Build relationships to understand client, designer, and subcontractor needs
  • Facilitate collaboration amongst team members
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
  • Manage Assistant Estimators, MEP Estimators, and Career Start team members on projects
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
  • 10-15 years of experience in Estimating, or equivalent
  • Computer skills, including Excel spreadsheets and Word processing programs
  • Experience with estimating software such as Timberline, OST, MC2

Working Conditions

The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.

Compensation

Our good faith estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is a base salary of ($160,000 - $210,000) if based in LA Market. Individual pay decisions will vary based upon the experience and qualifications of the applicant.

This range is based upon the LA market rates and determined by considering many factors such as external market salary survey data, internal data for comparable roles, and the operational and budgetary objectives of the company.
