The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled RF/Microwave Engineer to support the development of microwave hardware in radar, sensor, and communications national space systems. As a key member of our team, you will perform circuit analysis, design microwave circuits, make measurements, and analyze test results.
Key Responsibilities- Provide insight on contractor development of radar, sensor, and communication payloads
- Implement advanced microwave measurement techniques
- Perform budget, circuit, and simulations of microwave components and systems
- Operate large-scale microwave payload emulator test sets
- Solve microwave hardware anomalies using analytical methods and experimental setups
- Collaborate onsite with other engineers and technicians
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Four or more years of related technical experience in microwave engineering areas, including microwave circuit theory, operation of network analyzers, oscilloscopes, or other microwave instrumentation, data/signal analysis using Python or MATLAB, and microwave transmitter/receiver hardware
- Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving, ability to rapidly grasp new concepts, and excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to engage others and influence technical decisions
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 10%
- Able to obtain and maintain a US security clearance, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Current TS/SCI clearance
- Capstone projects building RF hardware and/or systems
- Experience or coursework in microwave specialty areas, including amplifier design and theory, PLL/oscillator design and theory, high-power RF SSPA or TWTA, and communication systems engineering
