Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Services Specialist to join our team at the Steven Tanger Center. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform a variety of tasks related to custodial and cleaning services, including cleaning facility interiors and exteriors, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, replenish supplies, and wash windows, mirrors, walls, and countertops.
  • Waste Management: Remove and dispose of debris from parking lots, walkways, and facilities, and empty waste receptacles.
  • Event Support: Perform additional staff functions for events, including setting up and breaking down facilities.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA and in-house safety guidelines, and report any known or expected irregularities to the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of building cleaning practices, methods, supplies, and equipment; ability to follow oral and written instructions; and ability to perform routine and repetitive custodial tasks without immediate supervision.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs throughout the shift; must be able to lift/push up to 25 lbs throughout the shift.
