Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Montessori Infant Teacher to join our team at Guidepost Montessori. As a Montessori Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters the cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement lesson plans that align with Montessori principles and promote independence, self-motivation, and self-directed learning.
  • Establish a safe and healthy environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and physical activity.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with infants, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Montessori education.

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.
  • Earned a Bachelor's Degree (any subject).
  • Experience working with children ages 0-3 in a group setting such as daycare, aftercare, or nursery.
  • Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Reggio Emilia or Montessori and/or open to learning more.
