Substation Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Substation Automation Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems for electrical substations.
Key Responsibilities- Developing SCADA maps and RTUs in compliance with utility client standards
- Supporting the testing and communications in the SCADA/EMS system
- Knowledge of electronic and automation functions, including digital protection
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 and communication protocols, especially DNP
- Knowledge of SCADA Systems, manufacturers, and equipment
- Knowledge of communications - digital radio and fiber optics
- Experience with electrical substation, substation equipment, and power grids
- An Engineering degree from a recognized institution
- P.E. License not required, but preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in automation, digital, relay, or utility engineering
- Knowledge of codes and standards such as IEEE and ANSI, including OH&S Regulations, NERC, and FERC regulations
