At Qorvo, we are seeking a talented and motivated RF Systems Design Engineer to join our team. As an RF Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing RF communication systems for cellular phones. This is a unique opportunity to work with a variety of software tools, including MATLAB, SystemVue, and Excel, to create innovative and high-performance RF components.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RF communication systems, including receiver design considerations and transmitter design considerations. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with RF measurement equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, and proficiency in software tools like MATLAB, Excel, and SystemVue.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

The salary range is based on a national average for the United States. However, salaries may vary depending on location, experience, and qualifications.

As an RF Systems Design Engineer at Qorvo, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of advanced development projects, including IoT, 5G, MIMO, CA, ET, UWB, baseband predistortion, antenna tuning, and more. You will also have the chance to collaborate with a cross-functional team to guide the integration of functional blocks into a module.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex technical information effectively. You should also have effective organizational skills for systematic planning and scheduling, as well as a detail-oriented approach to ensure the design and delivery of high-yielding products.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • RF communication systems coursework and/or experience, including the successful completion of Communications Theory and Signal Processing Design courses
  • Understanding of receiver design considerations, including signal-to-noise ratio, cascaded noise-figure, sensitivity, blocking, and intermodulation
  • Understanding of transmitter design considerations, including digital modulation, I/Q constellations, noise, spectral-regrowth, and harmonics
  • Exposure to RF measurement equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, preferred
  • Software Exposure: MATLAB, Excel, SystemVue, ADS, VSS (or similar simulation tools)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective organizational skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Detail-oriented approach to ensure design and delivery of high-yielding products
  • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
