Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Late Night Cook to join our team at Denny's. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food to our guests, while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food to order, following Denny's menu and food specifications and timing standards.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local safe food handling regulations.
  • Monitor and control food costs, including waste and inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring total satisfaction with every meal.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs throughout shift.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift, and grasp.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in a confined work area.
  • Must be able to work with all Denny's menu products.
  • Must be able to read tickets, recipes, and product specifications.
  • Must be able to hear well in a loud environment to respond to employee and guest needs.
  • Must meet any state, county, or municipal regulation pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
  • Must be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer area.
Physical Requirements

The ability to stand and walk approximately 85-95% of shift, lift and carry 10-65 lbs, move freely throughout the restaurant, and operate restaurant equipment and drive a motor vehicle.
