Positions: Full-time and part-time roles available with mandatory weekend rotation
Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am

Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is to deliver both physical and emotional support to residents, ensuring their dignity and individuality are upheld. The CNA will report to the shift supervisor and the Wellness Director.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Providing comprehensive care and services to assigned residents while assisting fellow wellness team members.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and other team members.
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, eating, and mobility.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions with residents and their families.
  • Reporting any suspected instances of abuse to licensed staff immediately.
  • Utilizing safe transfer techniques for resident mobility assistance.
  • Managing residents' laundry as required.
  • Adhering to established infection control procedures and safety regulations.
  • Documenting services provided accurately on company forms.
  • Operating medical equipment and communication devices as needed.
  • Coordinating resident transportation and escorting them as necessary.
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff.
  • Conducting regular room checks and monitoring for safety hazards.
  • Responding to emergencies promptly and reporting them to the supervisor.
  • Utilizing effective communication techniques in sensitive situations.
  • Following up on reported concerns and complaints.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participating in resident-centered activities.
  • Assisting with sensory enhancement devices.
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Acting as a representative for guests and visitors.
  • Assisting in dining-related tasks.
  • Demonstrating respect for residents' heritage and values.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Engaging in assigned projects or committees.
  • Attending staff meetings and mandatory training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must maintain certification as a Certified Nurse Aide.
  • Completion of the company’s Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
  • Good physical health and free from communicable diseases; ability to lift, bend, and push as necessary.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Successful completion of drug testing and background checks.
  • Experience in Assisted Living is preferred.
