Army DCIPS positions apply Veteran's Preference to eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 U.S.C., following the procedures outlined in DoD Instruction, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.

Experience Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must demonstrate relevant experience as described below. Experience encompasses both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited. Your resume must clearly articulate your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience:

Candidates should possess experience in providing guidance, technical support, and executing comprehensive security measures in two or more of the following areas: Information Security, Cybersecurity, Personnel Security, and Industrial Security.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11). Specialized experience includes progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly relevant to the position being filled.

Acceptable experience may encompass prior military service, private sector roles, or positions in other government agencies, provided it is at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

- Personnel Security
- Security Program Management
