Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Behavioral Health department, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to individuals suffering from psychiatric illness, behavioral disorders, and chemical dependency. Our team is dedicated to promoting a structured therapeutic program to help those in crisis through evaluation, education, medication therapy, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
  • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the state of Missouri and meeting all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, and to perform duties that require prolonged standing and walking, gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
