The Keller Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with extensive experience managing AP functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payments, developing team capabilities, and implementing process improvements to support the company's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounts payable operations, including vendor invoice processing, payment approvals, and disbursements.
  • Manage the AP team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to maintain integrity and accuracy in AP processes.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to improve AP processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow by managing payment schedules and prioritizing payments to maintain healthy vendor relationships.
  • Lead month-end and year-end AP close processes, including reconciliation of AP subledger to the general ledger.
  • Prepare and present AP reports, KPIs, and analysis to support management in decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of AP operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including 1099 filings and tax reporting for vendor payments.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role, focused on accounts payable.
    • Strong understanding of AP processes, general ledger, and GAAP.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and cross-functional departments.
