Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Field Engineer-Wind to join our team in the Wind Group. This role will support and complete the full cycle of field coordination issues with team members, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Pre-Construction support, including managing submittals and RFIs, evaluating project design and engineering documents, and conducting advance research on living arrangements for project team members.
  • Perform project-specific tasks in preparation for team mobilization to site, including preparing turnover binders and assisting with Pre-Mobilization Kickoff meetings.
  • Manage all aspects necessary for Construction support, including quality assurance and quality control, inventory management, and coordination of DFW prep meetings and inspections.
  • Administer Closeout processes, including compiling turnover documentation and assisting with contract document closure.
  • Participate in project safety audits and Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program.

Requirements

  • Previous related internship experience is a plus.
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills.
  • Current driver's license.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
