About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Pathologist/Therapist to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a Speech Pathologist/Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve communication and swallowing skills
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Minimum 1-year post-graduation experience in inpatient rehab or acute care
  • Independent in performing MBSS
  • Independent in performing FEES preferred
  • Independent with speaking valve assessment and treatment for trach patients weaned from vent
