About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the technical execution of advanced technology production and development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct program planning, development, and integration efforts
  • Manage technical integrity and factory execution across programs
  • Drive home technical engineering execution
  • Lead independent reviews of programs, including Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
  • Identify critical staffing resources to ensure staffing plans address production and development needs
  • Work with Factory Leadership on new product introduction, product improvement plans, and product/technology/manufacturing roadmaps
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years experience
  • Experience leading independent reviews of programs, including Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations
  • Experience with identifying critical staffing resources to ensure staffing plans address production and development needs
  • Experience working with Factory Leadership on new product introduction, product improvement plans, and product/technology/manufacturing roadmaps
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the technical review and approval of all proposals and Gates to ensure feasibility and ability to execute to meet cost/schedule/quality
  • Experience with Raytheon production and development programs, Proven track record of sound decision making
  • Experience with developing and presenting technical briefings to Raytheon Leadership and internal/external customers, Ability to travel as needed
  • Experience in a cross-functional work environment with no direct reports; ability to succeed through influence and building relationships with team members
