We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team at East Carolina University. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our dental clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and revise patient histories and record patient vital signs
  • Acquaint patients with preventive-oriented practice philosophy
  • Chart existing restorations on new patients and record clinical and present disease
  • Perform thorough oral prophylaxes (cleanings) on scheduled patients
  • Apply topical fluorides and occlusal sealants on indicated patients
  • Make appropriate study models on indicated patients
  • Explain treatment alternatives to patients
  • Record specific treatment performed on patient chart
  • Expose, process, and mount necessary x-rays
  • Aid in chair-side assisting as necessary
  • Handle sharpening, sterilization, and maintenance of all instruments and equipment
  • Help to reconfirm and appoint patients
Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of North Carolina
  • CPR certificate and Radiology certified
