In this position, you will be tasked with delivering impeccable IT support for laboratory instruments and their corresponding software applications. Your knowledge will be vital in maintaining the seamless operation of these instruments and enhancing effective data management. You will work closely with diverse teams, including vendors and network specialists, to successfully implement and uphold the necessary configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct user administration duties, such as creating and validating user accounts
· Resolve incidents (troubleshooting, physical inspections of instruments, network issues, and licensing)
· Collaborate with vendors and engage with network teams to facilitate the installation of laboratory instruments
· Draft and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
· Provide regular reviews and maintenance support to instrument owners, ensuring adherence to maintenance plans and assisting with firmware updates
Required Qualifications:
· 2 to 5 years of experience in laboratory IT end-user support within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors, or equivalent experience and relevant certifications
· Familiarity with laboratory instruments and their associated PCs
· Ability to assist users, perform system maintenance, and execute upgrades
· Excellent communication skills
· Proficient in installing and upgrading software
· Capable of providing first-line troubleshooting support
· Collaborate with vendors to ensure Operational Qualification (OQ) of instruments
· Knowledge of ITIL practices (Incident/Change/Knowledge/Problem Management)
· Experience with GxP regulations; understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, manual testing, qualification processes, and familiarity with LIMS and CDS
