Position Overview:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the efficient transfer of finished products from storage to transportation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a sit-down forklift to retrieve products from storage and load/unload trucks.
  • Utilize a hand-held scanner to accurately log products into the inventory system.
  • Wrap products on pallets according to specifications using a wrapping machine.
  • Work safely in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods.
  • Obtain forklift certification as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Adhere to all safety, USDA, and GMP regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Utilize basic math skills for operational tasks.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand for 8-10 hours daily.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Engage in bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting as necessary.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to damp and cold conditions.
  • Work with loud machinery.
  • Potential exposure to dust and chemicals.
