Job Summary

The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering parts to customers in a timely manner, while also working in the warehouse as needed. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver parts to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Read and interpret customer orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department
  • Mark materials with identifying information
  • Open crates and other containers
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  • Use computer to enter records
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Complete all monthly PACCAR training work booklets
  • Keep department clean and free of any safety hazards
  • Move all boxes and pallets to proper storage area(s) daily
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Work Environment

The work environment for this role is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee must be able to work in a team environment and be able to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds, occasionally team lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
