About the Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Afterschool Bus Driver to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing safe transportation to and from program sites while maintaining a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a patient demeanor, and the ability to work effectively with children and families in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide safe transportation to and from program sites
- Maintain a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals
- Recognize and implement safety standards during route
- Collaborate with staff to ensure the smooth operation of the after-school program
- Attend staff training and meetings as required

Requirements

- Be at least 21 years of age
- Provide sound, caring, and positive leadership for youth
- Recognize and implement safety standards during route
- Have a good understanding of the mission and values of the Y and be able to demonstrate and teach from those values
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Pass a driving record check to drive for the Y
